Investment Law and Human Rights

In a collaborative effort with the Leiden Journal of International Law (LJIL) this symposium discusses two recent LJIL articles dealing with the relationship between “International Investment Law and Human Rights”. Both pieces straddle disciplinary boundaries: Moshe Hirsch explores the potential of social movements for locating human rights within investment law whereas Tomer Broude and Caroline Henckels develop a loss-gain frame to understand the relationship of investor rights and human rights. The ideas are further developed in exchanges with Silvia Steininger and Oliver Hailes.
