#26 Völkervertragsrecht: Können Friedensverträge nichtig sein?

In dieser Folge widmen wir uns einem Grundlagenthema des Völkerrechts – dem Völkervertragsrecht. Anlässlich aktueller Debatten rund um einen Frieden für die Ukraine schauen wir uns an, welche Grenzen das Völkerrecht Friedensverträgen setzt. Im Interview hat Sophie Schuberth mit Kirsten Schmalenbach dazu gesprochen, unter welchen Umständen Verträge nach der Wiener Vertragsrechtskonvention nichtig sind, und welche Nichtigkeitsgründe insbesondere bei Friedensverträgen Relevanz entfalten. Isabel Lischewski behandelt im Grundlagenteil einen Klassiker-Fall des International Gerichtshofs zum Völkervertragsrecht – den Fall Gabčíkovo-Nagymaros Project zwischen Ungarn und der Slowakei.
