This two-day event brings together leading experts to explore the evolving legal landscape of marine resource extraction. From deep-sea mining to polar regimes, the workshop will examine legal frameworks, environmental concerns, and global governance challenges in the context of the growing Blue Economy. Don’t miss the keynote lecture, expert panels, and roundtable discussions that highlight critical issues at the intersection of law, sustainability, and ocean resource management. The workshop will be held in person.
The event is a cooperation between the Europa-Institut of Saarland University (Chair of Prof. Dr. Marc Bungenberg) and the Walther Schücking Institute for International Law (Chair of Prof. Dr. Nele Matz-Lück).
