Legal Tech in the Age of Digitalization – A Podcast by the Konrad-Adenauer-Foundation

“Rule of Law Rules” is the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung’s podcast on Rule of Law in the age of digitalization. The host of the podcast is Dr Angela Daly, a socio-legal scholar of digital technology. In each episode, she will interview one international expert about the opportunities and challenges for human rights in the digital age. We will gain insights into recent developments from different parts of the world.

In its penultimate episode on legal technology and the access to justice, the podcast takes a closer look at Southeast Asia. Guest Hannah Lim is Head of Rule of Law and Emerging Markets at LexisNexis in Singapore. Hannah works with governments to identify areas where LexisNexis can leveraging on technology and support the rule of law. Before that, she was a corporate lawyer in Myanmar, developing the Myanmar legal practice of two Singapore law firms. Hannah is called to the New York State Bar and the Singapore Bar. She is also a mediator accredited by the Singapore Mediation .

The podcast spoke to her about legal tech and its influence in the region.

Die Moderatorin Dr. Angela Daly, eine Rechtssoziologin für digitale Technologie, interviewt in jeder Folge eine/-n internationale/-n Experten/-in zu den Chancen und Herausforderungen für die Menschenrechte im digitalen Zeitalter. Wir erhalten Einblicke in aktuelle Entwicklungen aus verschiedenen Teilen der Welt.

In der vorletzten Folge zum Thema Legal Tech und dem Zugang zum Recht wirft der Podcasr dieses Mal einen Blick nach Südostasien. Gast Hannah Lim arbeitet als Head of Rule of Law and Emerging Markets bei LexisNexis in Singapur. Dabei identifiziert sie Bereiche, in denen LexisNexis durch den Einsatz von Technologie Rechtsstaatlichkeit unterstützen kann. Davor war sie als Unternehmensjuristin in Myanmar tätig und baute dort die Rechtspraxis zweier Anwaltskanzleien aus Singapur auf. Hannah ist Mitglied der New York State Bar und der Singapore Bar. Außerdem ist sie eine von der Singapore Mediation akkreditierte Mediatorin.
