The Person Behind the Practitioner

This symposium seeks to engage in conversation with practitioners in international law. As perhaps the only legal system where ‘the teachings of the most highly qualified publicists’ are means of determining the rules of law, is it difficult and arbitrary to draw a line between the practitioner and the academic. However, it is also true that some individuals, perhaps very few, navigate the rivers of both worlds and work precisely at their intersection.
