From Transitional to Transformative Justice: Rethinking Justice Beyond Mechanisms

On May 31, 2026 (13:00–18:00 CEST), we are hosting a one-day online seminar titled “From Transitional to Transformative Justice: Rethinking Justice Beyond Mechanisms.” The seminar brings together an international group of participants to critically engage with the limitations of transitional justice and explore how transformative approaches can contribute to long-term structural change.

The program combines short expert inputs with interactive discussions and case-based reflections, and addresses current developments such as reparations debates, post-conflict accountability efforts, and the ongoing relevance of colonial legacies.
