Labour Law Conference 2026

1. About the College

Lloyd Law College, established in 2003, is a premier institution dedicated to excellence in legal education, research, and professional training. Affiliated with Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut, and approved by the Bar Council of India, the institution is recognized for its academic rigor, strong faculty base, and a wide range of skill-building initiatives. The college follows an experiential model of teaching with a strong focus on clinical legal education, moot court culture, and research-driven pedagogy.

The college has been privileged to receive academic leadership and mentorship from Padma Bhushan Late Prof. (Dr.) N.R. Madhava Menon, pioneer of modern legal education in India. Inspired by his legacy, Lloyd aims to cultivate competent, socially responsible legal professionals capable of contributing meaningfully to the evolving ecosystem of law and governance.

2. Details About the Event

Event Title: Labour Law Conference 2026
Theme: “Empowering Workers in a Changing World: Towards Inclusive, Sustainable, Equitable Labour and Justice.”
Dates: 27–28 March 2026
Format: Hybrid (In-person plenaries & virtual participation)

This conference is being organized in response to the landmark implementation of the four Labour Codes in India—the Code on Wages, 2019; Industrial Relations Code, 2020; Code on Social Security, 2020; and the Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions Code, 2020—effective from 21st November 2025. The event will include keynote addresses, workshops, panel discussions, youth forums, and presentation tracks.

3. Purpose of the Event

The objective of this conference is to create an academic and professional platform for dialogue, debate, and collaborative research on India’s changing labour law framework in a global context. The conference aims to:

  • Examine opportunities, challenges, and implementation frameworks emerging from the new Labour Codes.
  • Facilitate comparative discussions aligned with global labour standards, including ILO conventions and UN SDGs.
  • Enable policymakers, researchers, labour unions, corporates, and students to exchange perspectives and produce actionable recommendations.
  • Encourage interdisciplinary and empirical research by bringing together scholars across legal, economic, technological, and governance fields.

5. Registration / Submission Procedure

Interested participants may submit an abstract (max. 500 words) addressing the broad conference theme or any listed sub-theme.

  • Authors may submit:
    ✔ Conceptual papers
    ✔ Academic research papers
    ✔ Industry or policy-based analysis papers
  • Manuscript requirements:
    ▪ 6,000–10,000 words (including footnotes)
    ▪ Abstract: 150–250 words
    ▪ Citation format: ILI Style
    ▪ Up to three authors allowed per paper

Acceptance of abstracts is a prerequisite for conference registration.
