The AjV Research Colloquium is entering its fourth round. Since October2024, the AjV has been inviting doctoral candidates and postdoctoralresearchers to present their current research in the different fields ofinternational law. This time, the Research Colloquium will be hosted byGeorg-August-Universität Göttingen.Independent from the stage of research, the Research Colloquium is open forall doctoral candidates and postdoctoral researchers of international law. Itsmain objective is to provide an informal and inclusive space for discussion, debate, and critical–constructive reflection. It offers participants theopportunity to test and further develop their preliminary research findings.Additionally, there is ample room to address more practical questions orcurrent challenges related to your research. The informal, non-hierarchicalatmosphere, removed from any pressure of evaluation, provides an idealsetting for such exchanges. Each presenter will be allocated 40 to 45 minutes in total: 15 to 20 minutesfor the presentation itself, five minutes for a critical response from anassigned commentator, and the remaining time for the ensuing plenarydiscussion based on the impulses provided. We encourage all participantsto contribute their perspectives and enrich the exchange during andin-between the discussions: The colloquium’s strength lies with the broadand diverse engagement of its participants.
