The Research Committee on Sociology of Law (RCSL) invites you to celebrate Human Rights Week, with a webinar on disability rights. The event is held on 11 December 2024, 4.00-4.45 PM (CET).

We will discuss how to better protect the rights of disabled workers undert he UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities with Professor Ravi Malhotra (University of Ottawa). Ravi will be joined by João Velloso, Chair of the RCSL Working Group ‘Judicialization of Social Problems’ and Associate Professor (University of Ottawa).

Founded in 1962, RCSL promotes international comparative research and teaching on law and society. It is, together with the Basque government, the founder of the Oñati International Institute for the Sociology of Law and is home to a number of exciting working groups around human rights, politics, judicial systems, lawyers, AI, legal pluralism, migration, gender and many other areas. This event is part of the RCSL webinar series and is moderated by Pierre Guibentif and Stefanie Lemke, RCSL’s President and Secretary-Elect.
