As soon as they became available in late 2020, COVID-19 vaccines brought contemporary human rights issues back to the front light and tested the foundations of human rights. From the human rights implications of compulsory vaccinations to the manifold limitations imposed on the freedom of expression and on free movement, the introduction of the vaccines highlighted ethical, political, and legal dilemmas.<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cCOVID-19 Vaccinations and International Law\u201d Webinar Series aims to discuss these and other related issues. The Webinar Series is organized by the Research Cluster on Human Rights and Humanitarian Protection of the Institute for International Law of Peace and Armed Conflict (IFHV) in cooperation with the ESIL Interest Group on International Human Rights Law.<\/p>\n<p>The second panel on \u201cCOVID-19 Vaccinations and Human Rights\u201d will take place on June 28th, 2021, at 10 am CEST. The panel will feature by Marko Milanovic (University of Nottingham) on &#8216;Vaccine Misinformation and Human Rights Law&#8217;, Iris Goldner Lang (University of Zagreb) on &#8216;Vaccination for Vacation: The Pros and Cons of EU COVID Certificates\u2019, and Sissy Katsoni (IFHV) on \u2018Compulsory Vaccinations and Human Rights\u2019 and will leave room for an engaged discussion with the audience.
