UNHCR nahm die Arbeit im Januar 1951 auf und das Abkommen \u00fcber die Rechtsstellung\u00a0der Fl\u00fcchtlinge wurde im Juli desselben Jahres verabschiedet. Anl\u00e4sslich des diesj\u00e4hrigen Jubil\u00e4ums wird die neue Blogreihe \u201e70 Jahre UNHCR und Genfer Fl\u00fcchtlingskonvention: Globale Entwicklungen\u201c in Kooperation auf dem FluchtforschungsBlog und dem V\u00f6lkerrechtsblog initiiert und herausgegeben. Im Mittelpunkt der Blogreihe stehen multidisziplin\u00e4re Perspektiven auf die Entstehung von UNHCR und der Konvention, ihre Wirkungen, Herausforderungen und Wandlungen in den vergangenen Jahrzehnten sowie ihre Bedeutungen und Schwachstellen in der aktuellen Zeit. Zudem k\u00f6nnen Beitr\u00e4ge etwa zu Prozessen im Globalen Fl\u00fcchtlingsregime oder auch regional spezifische Entwicklungen aufgenommen werden, die zum Verst\u00e4ndnis der Genese von UNHCR und der Konvention relevant sind.<\/p>\n
Die kooperative Blogreihe wird geleitet von Dana Schmalz f\u00fcr den V\u00f6lkerrechtsblog und Ulrike Krause f\u00fcr den FluchtforschungsBlog. Beitr\u00e4ge k\u00f6nnen kontinuierlich eingereicht werden, die Blogreihe wird \u00fcber einige Monate hinweg laufen. Beitr\u00e4ge sollten sich auf eine spezifische Frage konzentrieren und\u00a0 k\u00f6nnen einen Umfang von 1000 bis 1500 W\u00f6rtern haben. New blog series of the Refugee Research Blog and V\u00f6lkerrechtsblog<\/em><\/p>\n 70 Years of UNHCR and the 1951 Refugee Convention: Global Developments<\/strong><\/p>\n For the global refugee regime as it exists today, 1951 was a landmark year. UNHCR began its operations in January 1951 and the Convention Relating to the Status of Refugees was adopted in July the same year. On the occasion of the 70th anniversary, the Forced Migration Studies Blog (FluchtforschungsBlog) and the V\u00f6lkerrechtsblog are initiating the new blog series \u201c70 Years of UNHCR and 1951 Refugee Convention: Global Developments\u201d. The blog series focuses on multidisciplinary perspectives on the founding of UNHCR and the adoption of the Convention, their impacts, challenges and transformations over the past decades, as well as their meanings and shortcomings in the current time. In addition, contributions are welcome that address processes in the global refugee regime or specific regional developments that are relevant to understanding the genesis of UNHCR and the Convention.<\/p>\n The cooperative blog series is organized by Dana Schmalz for the V\u00f6lkerrechtsblog and Ulrike Krause for the Forced Migration Studies Blog (FluchtforschungsBlog).
