He obtained his doctorate at the University of Leipzig with a dissertation on Polish refugees in Africa (published in 2020 with Berghahn Books as \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/berghahnbooks.com\/title\/LingelbachOn\">On the Edges of Whiteness. Polish Refugees in British Colonial Africa during and after the Second World War<\/a>\u201d). Currently he works on the project \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.africamultiple.uni-bayreuth.de\/en\/Research\/1research-sections\/mobilities\/Africa-in-the-Global-History-of-Refugee-Camps-\/index.html\">Africa in the Global History of Refugee Camps<\/a>\u201d within the University of Bayreuth\u2019s \u201cAfrica Multiple.
