The Department of Legal Theory, Public International Law and European Union Law is seeking to fill the position as Postdoctoral researcher (§ 26 of the Collective Bargaining Agreement; group B1; the monthly salary for this position is € 4,061.50 gross (14 times per year)) as of 1 October 2022 to strengthen the team of Prof. Dr. Kirsten Schmalenbach (International Law).

Job description: own scientific research and teaching, scientific support in research and teaching as well as participation in administrative tasks in the field of international law; independent teaching of four semester hours per week; habilitation project in the field of international law; international publication and lecture activities; project acquisition.
Requirements: Completed PhD degree in law/Public International Law.
Additional desired skills: excellent language skills (German, English, knowledge of other languages is advantageous); in-depth knowledge of international law, e.g. international criminal law/law of international organizations; experience abroad, including practical experience at international institutions; project experience; editorial experience; experience in organizing academic events.
Profile: Ability to work independently and responsibly, ability to work under pressure, flexibility, ability to work in a team.
