On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the MenschenRechtsZentrum, the MenschenRechtsMagazin (MRM) will be converted to Open Journals and further developed. We are constantly looking for articles in German and English for the coming issues, which can be submitted directly via the new website menschenrechtsmagazin.de. Contributions for the next issue 29/1 (2024) of the MRM on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the MenschenRechtsZentrum must be submitted by 15 December 2023.
With the new issue we offer the possibility to publish articles in the section “Essay”. These will undergo a double-blind peer review process. This increases the appeal of publishing in MRM, especially for academics in the qualification phase.
In addition, the MRM continues to offer the opportunity to publish comments, controversies, short articles or event-related discussions in the general “Contributions” section.
We are also still interested in case discussions and book reviews.
Articles in the “Contributions” section, as well as case discussions and book reviews, will be edited by the MRM editorial team. The quality of the content, the topicality and the innovative character of the contribution are decisive criteria for the decision.
“Essays” and “Contributions” should not exceed 10,000 words (including footnotes). They should be preceded by a German and English abstract of no more than 200 words and 5-10 keywords in German and English.
Case discussions should not exceed the word limit of 5,000 words (including footnotes). They should be preceded by approximately five key sentences in German and English.
Individual book reviews should not exceed the word limit of 5,000 words (including footnotes). In the case of collective reviews or in individual cases, the length may be extended by agreement.
