4th National Virtual Judgment Writing Competition

Objective: The Judgment Writing Competition serves as a platform enabling law students to use their knowledge and writing abilities, to create convincing judgments. It lets them explore complex legal situations, examine evidence, and use legal ideas to make fair decisions. By simulating the process of writing judgments, the competition endeavours to improve the participants’ critical thinking abilities, legal research skills, and concise writing proficiency. It further fosters a deeper understanding of legal principles, enhances clarity in legal reasoning, and cultivates effective communication skills.
Format: The participants shall be required to draft a judgment based on the Proposition.
Eligibility: Open to Students, Research Scholars, and PhD Candidates pursuing graduate and postgraduate degrees from any field of study.
Fee Details:
Individual Registration fee: Rs. 200
Team Registration fee: Rs. 300
Note: There is no fee for UPES students.
Awards and Prizes:  
1st Prize:  ₹5,000 + Certificate of Merit
2nd Prize:  ₹ 3,000 + Certificate of Merit
3rd Prize:  ₹ 2,000 + Certificate of Merit
Note: Certificates of Participation will be provided to all the participants

25th September, 2024:  Last date for Registration
30th September, 2024:  Last date for Submissions
2nd October, 2024: Result Announcement
