The seminar will look at the establishment of the first international criminal tribunal since Nuremberg and will discuss the ICTY’s legacy in terms of case law development, the prosecution of heads of states, defense strategies and domestic jurisdiction. The Academy will bring together high level academics and legal practitioners from a diverse background and discuss the impact of the ICTY in the region, as well as its impact on the development of international criminal law and the furtherance of the Nuremberg Principles.
